Seacroft Maps

Situated on the eastern edge of Leeds, Seacroft is a residential suburb in West Yorkshire. It lies several miles from Leeds city centre and is surrounded by other east Leeds communities, forming part of the broader urban spread that extends outward from the city’s historic core.

Character and Layout

Seacroft is primarily a housing suburb, made up of residential streets and local amenities that serve the surrounding population. The area developed significantly during the twentieth century as part of Leeds’s expansion, with large planned housing estates built to accommodate growing demand. Seacroft is perhaps best known in Leeds for the Seacroft Green retail area, which draws shoppers from across the east of the city.

Seacroft is well connected to Leeds city centre by bus, with regular services running along the main roads linking it westward into town. The suburb sits within the wider Leeds metropolitan area and falls under the governance of Leeds City Council.
